True learning and responsibility starts at home with the parent. I'm tired of people blaming teachers, students, schools and government because their child can't read. When will parents be required to be responsible, persistent and set goals for their children? It is time parents take the lead in their child's education and welfare. Nelson police had already broken up a fight between the two men earlier in the day over a popular panhandling spot, and Halverson was incensed to find Reeder still at the location when he later returned.
