We rented a duplex from REMI and when we moved out we were charged for damages that we did not do. That was after they were suppose to fix those damages the first week after we moved in and never did so over the full year that we rented from them. You will need them when it comes time to move out and they try to place the blame on you. Best of luck! Horrible horrible!!! I am a homeowner and set up with Shannon to take care of our property while we went with orders to a new duty station People who stated "not to rent from REMI" one which I personally had experience with- you know who you are may have not had a good experience with REMI because they either didn't pay there rent on time or lived like pigs.
Actually, pigs are cleaner. I have had my home managed by REMI for 7 years and find them to be a good management company. They look out for the tenants as well as the owners interest. Can't imagine what the folks below are talking about?!
I suspect they are working for - or writing on behalf of- some competing agency. My husband and I have had 2 properties with REMI for nearly a decade now and their service is un-impeachable. Not only have they kept our units rented with very little pause, but the calibre of folks they have gotten us has been wonderful. No major damages or problems at ALL. In addition to their remarkable 'rented' performance, they provide on-going communications, video and photo updates on our properties and clean, precise billings.
If something needs doing, they are on top if it, and if you're looking for "Southern Hospitality", take some time to get to know these folks. I live in Cary. I have nothing to gain from supporting them and am only writing this because they don't deserve the tripe written below.
And I would hate to see anyone looking for a management company lose out on these gems due to that mean-spirited blather. We have been working with REMI for several years now. Great staff, very responsive, very concerned about details and getting things right. No complaints at all. We are looking forward to continue working with them. We rented our first house through them and I wish we never did the company claimed they had spoke with us about a fowarding address and never did the took our whole sec deposit and still asking for more.
Completely unprofessional and rude! They will not make an appointment to come and fix anything, rather show up unannounced. They don't respect military or their families, and will not work with you if you are in a bind Steer clear of this place and rent elsewhere! Rude, incompetent, utterly hopeless. With a 5 month old son in the home. The women who work here are litterally liars and must be mentally challenged. They took money from the owner without maintaining the home.
They Lied about my occupation, telling the owner I was a marine from Minnesota. Im not either of these things lied about sending me my eviction notice, lied to the owner telling her I had indeed been notified to leave my rental, Refused to maintain the property, even lied about the utilities in the house we had moved into.
In short. Do NOT get involved with these crooks. They will constantly violate your renters rights with a smile. Listen to all these reviews! Do not rent here, they don't appreciate your money or the military. We could never get anything fixed and no one ever returned our phone calls. Not even the manager or owner of the company returned our phone calls. Whenever I would call it sounded like the people that worked there didn't want to be there and that I was bothering them!
Your hard earned money needs to go to a company that appreciates its customers. Do NOT rent from these people. They lied to us about the house they wanted us to rent, trying to get us to sign a lease without first having seen the property. The people who work in the office do not communicate with each other at all, they wanted us to pay more for the deposit than what they put in the lease agreement, and they never came to look at the mildew problem in the bathroom.
While living there, we received foreclosure papers for the owner. We took them to the leasing office for them to forward, but then they couldn't get the owners on the phone to find out whether they were bringing the mortgage current, or if the foreclosure was moving forward.
We moved as soon as we could after that. I strongly discourage anybody from renting a home or letting them rent out your home. They are very unprofessional and have no idea what customer service is. They are terrible at making appointments, keeping appointments and returning phone calls. Advertise with Us. Saved to Favorites. BBB Rating and Accreditation information may be delayed up to a week.
