Cons Compensation is below average, Lot of internal red-tape, Old school culture of boss worship. I start my IT journey from TCS, The training is top class ,from day 1 everyone is very supportive and help me get comfortable with the work. All Polices are well in placed and support the employee and the brand name is enough to motivate you to learn and grow. Pros Supportive co workers, Policies, Leaves, health insurance. Cons compensation can be improved.

Could be a great place to work if things were more streamlined. Be careful if you onboard as an entry level "Software Developer" they more than likely will place you in support with no clear path to a developer role. Best company to start career but the compensation and benefits are very less compared to Market offers. Good learning opportunities for freshers and trainees.

Gain good experience in other companies and after years of IT experience you can switch to TCS with good package and continue there forever While switching, the package would be better and it might not increase much later. Been with company as a Data Center Engineer for 2 years and I received more additional responsibilities and functions and haven't received an increase or promotion. Kudos are minimal and more often get called out for your mistakes. The group im in has 3 leads with people and micro manage us 3 different ways, even though technically we only uave 1 lead. Basically there is no room for growth and opportunity at TCS unless you're in with the management. Pros Plenty of resources at work through customer.
