Mongolian Beef - grey meat, flavorless sauce. Giant chunks of beef and more green onions than meat. Steamed dumplings - epic failure here. The meat IT was a rainy day today, so why not sack out with some amazing Lo Mein, and other "americanized" Chinese food?!? Who does this?
The pork was tender, This is one of my favorite restaurants to eat at when I visit Memphis. I ordered takeout during lunchtime. Inside dining is available. There is an outside patio as well.
Paper menus are available at the front door. I ordered the chicken chop suey which was very light and flavorful. The lunch broccoli chicken was a generous portion of fresh florets. The food is the best and the portions are amazing.
I am spoiled to their food and service, I don't like going anywhere else. I went here with my wife and we both really like this place. Both times we have gone have been during dinner hours. By the way, call and see if they are open before you go because I think they are closed Mondays and closed daily between lunch and dinner. Overall, the food was great, but I thought the service could be better.
The Wait Staff is sooo great! SOOO good me and my dad go every week! I have been eating at Formosa since and I will have to say it is the best Chinese food i have ever eaten in Memphis. I havn't even been able to beat there food anywhere else in the states. Highly recommend the chicken dishes as well as any of there hot and spicy dishes. Enjoy and you will be back.
